Security Forces Kill 49 Militants in Intelligence-Based Operations Across Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Security forces have killed 49 militants during intelligence-based operations conducted across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 12 militants were killed during operations carried out in Bannu, North Waziristan, Orakzai and Khyber districts.

According to ISPR, security forces also killed 37 militants in Balochistan during 10 intelligence-based operations conducted in Mastung, Mach, Khuzdar and Panjgur.

A significant quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives was recovered during the operations. Security forces also seized improvised explosive devices (IEDs), remote-detonation devices and explosive drums from the militants.

Motorcycles used by the militants were also taken into custody, while clearance operations are continuing to search for additional members of the militant networks.

Security forces reaffirmed their commitment to eliminating terrorism under the country’s counterterrorism strategy, saying operations against militant networks would be intensified.

Law enforcement agencies and security forces have also decided to accelerate intelligence-based and targeted operations against terrorist networks and their facilitators.
