Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei has said that Iran did not receive a formal invitation to participate in the Mecca Agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking at a news briefing in Tehran, Baghaei said the visit of Oman\u2019s foreign minister to Iran was not connected to the visit of Pakistan\u2019s Field Marshal. He added that Pakistan is taking steps to help reduce tensions in the region and described relations between Pakistan and Iran as being at their highest level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Baghaei said Iran would not accept US economic pressure and called American sanctions illegal. He added that Iran would seek support from its allies to deal with the sanctions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Iranian spokesperson also rejected reports about the number of vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz. He said the United States would not be allowed to set conditions for ending the conflict and stressed that Iran was prepared to respond to any form of aggression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Baghaei further accused Bulgaria of aggression for cooperating with the United States in attacks against Iran. He said Iran has the right to respond to any act of aggression.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
