Russia has offered to support Saudi Arabia in diplomatic efforts to address the ongoing conflict and tensions in the Middle East.
According to a news agency, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke by phone with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan. The two officials discussed the current situation in the Middle East and efforts to address the regional crisis.
During the conversation, Lavrov said that Russia was interested in supporting efforts aimed at managing the situation in the Middle East and promoting peace and stability in the region.
Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan, meanwhile, stressed the importance of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Russia. He said Riyadh was interested in further strengthening partnership and cooperation with Moscow.
Faisal bin Farhan also said that cooperation among OPEC+ members helps maintain a balance between global oil supply and demand. He added that cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Russia has been important for supporting stability in global energy markets.
The two officials also discussed regional developments, bilateral cooperation and issues related to global energy markets during their phone conversation.
