A new study conducted in China has found that the aging process differs significantly between men and women, with distinct biological changes appearing at different stages of life.

According to the research, the effects of aging are not limited to visible physical changes. They can also be detected through routine blood tests and medical examinations, which may reveal important changes taking place inside the body.

The study, published in the international scientific journal Nature Aging, analyzed health-related data from more than 104,000 people across China, ranging in age from 18 to 98.

Researchers examined 172 health-related factors, including body weight, cholesterol levels and blood sugar. Based on these indicators, they developed a specialized “aging clock” designed to estimate major biological changes associated with the aging process.

The findings showed that one of the most significant stages of aging in men appeared between the ages of 35 and 45. During this period, several biological and health-related changes become increasingly noticeable.

The researchers also identified different stages of aging in men and women, suggesting that the aging process does not occur at the same pace or follow identical patterns in both sexes.

The findings could contribute to future research on age-related health conditions and may help scientists develop more effective approaches for monitoring health and predicting certain age-related changes.
