Social media platform X has announced a new revenue program for content creators around the world, with a focus on rewarding users who produce original and high-quality content.
According to X, the new initiative has been named the “Original Content Rewards Program.” The program is aimed at discouraging copied, stolen and low-quality content while providing financial incentives to creators who consistently produce original material.
X’s existing “Ads Revenue Sharing” program will be discontinued completely on September 7, 2026. Creators enrolled in the previous program will receive their final payment on September 11.
However, the new revenue program will not be available to users in Pakistan, meaning Pakistani creators will not be able to directly benefit from the initiative at this stage.
Applications for the Original Content Rewards Program will open on September 8, 2026. X said users who have already completed identity verification and linked a payout method to their accounts will not need to repeat those steps.
Under the new system, X aims to financially reward creators who produce original, high-quality and valuable content on the platform. The initiative is also expected to place greater emphasis on promoting unique content while discouraging the distribution of copied or low-quality material.
