Pakistani television is all set to introduce a fresh on-screen pairing as Imran Ashraf and Zoha Tauqeer are reportedly coming together for the first time in an upcoming Geo TV drama. However, even before the drama has premiered, their pairing has already become a topic of discussion on social media.
Some social media users have questioned whether Imran Ashraf and Zoha Tauqeer look suitable together on screen, with several people pointing out the noticeable age difference in their appearances. One user even jokingly asked whether Imran Ashraf would be playing Zoha Tauqeer’s father rather than her romantic lead.
Imran Ashraf is one of Pakistan’s well-known actors, having delivered memorable performances in dramas including Ranjha Ranjha Kardi, Raqs-e-Bismil, Mushk, Dil Lagi, Dil Mom Ka Diya, and Chowdhry & Sons.
Zoha Tauqeer, meanwhile, made her acting debut with Aapa Shamim and later appeared in projects including Chalbaz and Zabita. Although she is still relatively new to the industry, her upcoming project with Imran Ashraf has already attracted considerable attention.
The upcoming Geo TV drama is reportedly being made under the temporary title Jang-e-Ishq. The story has been written by Imran Ashraf himself, who will also play the lead role. The drama is being produced by 7th Sky Entertainment and directed by Ahmed Bhatti, with shooting currently underway.
Interestingly, the reported title Jang-e-Ishq has also received mixed reactions online, with some viewers saying that the word “Ishq” has become too common in Pakistani drama titles.
